Forest High School Band Program
SINCE 1922
FHS BAND MATTRESS SALE INFO

The Band is raising money to purchase new band uniforms in celebration of the band’s 100th anniversary season. The first school band in the state of Florida was founded right here in Ocala in the winter of 1922 at Ocala High School by Mrs. Browne’ Greaton Cole. With the school being renamed Forest High School in 1969, the Forest Band program is recognized across the state as the oldest, continuous band program in Florida. In recent years, the program has enjoyed great success at competitions and music festivals. They have received “Superior” ratings from Florida Bandmasters Association events, the highest rating possible, consistently over the last ten years. The current uniforms were purchased in 2004, when the new FHS campus was opened on Maricamp Road. The projected cost of new uniforms for the band is a little over $40,000. The Band has been able to raise just over half of the needed funds in the past year and are hoping to be able to reach their goal this year to be able to purchase the sorely needed new uniforms.
Custom Fundraising Solutions (CFS) has worked with numerous other schools all over the US running Mattress Fundraisers and the results can be impressive. Since the Fall of 2014, over $50 Million has been raised for schools in the across the country. CFS provides the promotional material and handles the sales and distribution of the products.
Custom Fundraising Solutions was founded in Cleveland, OH.
